Rugged and ragged and worn at the edges,
humanity is brought low by words and pledges,
that never usually amount to anything,
for we aim for better societies,
but money eradicates many good intentions,
that people have when they begin to speak on such things,
and with money instead of building up fences,
we tear them down and build barriers,
because money is the barrier,
that prevents the world’s problems from being solved,
and money unfortunately,
does not make the world go around.
