In this society poem

How rapidly life moves through the streets,
and through the places that we meet,
and in the streets,
how many people are living on the streets in the cold,
and in the wet and the heat,
and how many stabbings and murders there are,
in the cities that power the nations of the world,
and how people suffer from the malignancy of the times,
and how much distress there is from the financial crisis,
that overwhelms so many people,
so many people who struggle to survive.
And in these bitter days of poverty and homelessness,
how dark it is,
because what can people do,
when finance threatens their lives,
what can people do,
when Governments,
and societies and are so disorganised?
