As chance would have it,
as chance would decry,
you have no chance at all,
if you try to force chance into being,
for it is all in the lap of the Gods,
and life is always a gamble,
mostly no matter how hard you try,
and if you could dictate to chance,
what would be the fun in there being no chance at all,
and there only being certainty,
because everything would be known,
and there would be no unknowns,
and there would be nothing to be wondered at,
and how boring that would be,
and life would just be one big sigh,
and not even worth keeping in your memory.
