About me – Benjamin Arthur Robinson – Author

I, Benjamin Arthur Robinson am a prolific British poet and writer whose work spans over thirty volumes of poetry and a growing body of imaginative fiction. I was Born in Dorset, England. I draw deep inspiration from the natural beauty of the countryside and coastline where I have written most of my work. My poetry— is rooted in compassion, conscience, and emotional clarity— and explores the modern human condition with lyrical grace and philosophical depth.

Alas the Day— my first poetry book is a powerful meditation on freedom, empathy, and moral courage—to reflective works such as Cold Day in October, Down to the Sea, and We Were Human Once. My writing is both intimate and universal. My verses often balance melancholy with hope, uniting the personal and political in a voice that is distinctly humane and deeply British in sensibility.

In addition to my poetry, I am the creator of Space 2047, a darkly comic, futuristic sci-fi epic filled with eccentric characters, moral satire, and absurd intergalactic adventures. Through both poetry and fiction, I continue to explore the complexities of conscience, creativity, and the enduring power of imagination.

A lifelong lover of literature, I began writing poetry at the age of ten, encouraged by an inspiring English teacher who recognised my early talent. Today, I continue to write prolifically—often outdoors, in fields, by rivers, or along the Dorset coast—finding in nature, both therapy and truth.

For me, writing is not only an art but a calling: a way to make sense of the world, to celebrate its beauty, and to speak with sincerity in an age that too often forgets how.
