Values, so often in this world, they never seem to hold fast.
Values come and go like the wind,
rapidly flying here and there,
and everywhere and so often do not last.
Values, so many values,
constantly shifting and changing,
because of the multiplicity of the choices that we face,
for we live in schizophrenic times,
and we are bombarded by so many choices every day,
choices that bamboozle us and confuse us,
and that leave us overwhelmed,
and with such weary hearts,
oh, so many values, oh, so many opinions,
and oh, so many unhappy people,
living out their lives,
as if puppets guided by those with machiavellian arts.
