Strongly against the shore the boat does drift,
and as the waves crash upon it,
the moonlight reflects upon the waters,
and in its glorious rise and fall,
underneath the cliffs,
where the rocks are,
the seagulls rest in the moonlight,
with their eyes on the horizon,
and with their thoughts upon the air,
and of the fish.
